Dimethylformamide finds wide usage as a solvent with low evaporation rate
Dimethylformamide is used in the production of plastics incl. acrylic fibers and polymers
It is also used as a solvent in pharma sector (peptide coupling), pesticides industry, and in the manufacture of adhesives, synthetic leathers, fibers, films, and surface coatings
It is used as a reagent (eg. Bouveault aldehyde synthesis / Vilsmeier-Haack reaction), and is useful in the method of forming aldehydes
